Donald Trump, Chris Rock and Your Wake Up Call

What a great week! Rubio, Small Hands, Trump, Big Ears! Then Chris Rock and the White Peoples' Choice Awards!

Not only that, but don't you expect Hillary Clinton to defend Apple's resistance to unlocking phones? People have the right to keep their emails private. Even if they are top secret sent on unsecure networks.

Oh God! This is so much fun!

Leonardo Dicaprio was expected to win best actor. He did. If an Asian or a Latino or a black was nominated, would it have made a difference? I wanted Sylvester Stallone to win, but I saw his movie and didn't see the Revenant. Chris Rock suggested that the Oscars discriminated by sex. Why do we need a "Best Actor" and a "Best Actress" category? Who would have won if we had to pick between Leonardo Dicaprio and Brie Larson for best 'asexual term for actor/actress'?

When Chris Rock pointed out that black actors didn't protest in the 60's because they were busy protesting lynchings and other more important stuff, he nailed it.

Don't get your panties in a twist! You're taking yourself way to seriously. Don't sweat the small stuff. A lot of women make more money than me and they deserve it.

So, now Super Tuesday....

Hillary, Bernie, Trump, Rubio, Cruz, Kasich, Carson and the cat and dog that I saw on the Today Show. With your permission, I'm not gonna talk about anybody but Trump. Don't take this as an endorsement or an indication of how I'm gonna vote, but I heard today that the Republican establishment intends to try to block his nomination at the convention and if he does get the nomination, they intend to endorse and support an independent candidate. WTF? Is this the same party that made Trump sign a pledge that if he didn't win the Republican nomination, he would not run as an Indpependent? Seriously? In what universe does that make sense?

So, forget the stupid comments about small hands, big ears, lying etc. Here's the problem. There's enough people that hear Trump and think, "I wouldn't say it that way, but that's kind of what I'm thinking." Does Trump have a detailed plan. Not a freaking chance, but he's spent his life putting together teams that get the job done. What do you think, Attorney General Chris Christie?

OK. Now the point. On every sales call, there's an elephant in the room. Chris Rock went right at it, but he did it with humor. Donald Trump says what some people are thinking, but are too polite and politically correct to say themselves. I have fun when I'm talking with prospects. Why? Because there's a lot of ways to look at anything and I'm gonna ask the questions until everybody in the room sees the elephant in the room. When we find it, my prospect will want to deal with it, or they won't. Either way, I've helped them recognize what they needed to do to grow.

Here's the lesson, straight up all by itself.

They're thinking it. Get it out in the open where everybody can deal with it.
