Your Monuments

Been thinking about my father, my grandfather, my uncle and their monuments.

My father was a carpenter. He built two of the four houses that I lived in growing up. They're still standing and monuments to his skill. He worked on the Prudential Building (The Boat Building). My uncle also worked a steam shovel in the excavation at that site. My grandfather ran a grader building I-84, one of the major Interstate routes that can get you there. (It's almost a family affair.)

None of these guys graduated from high school, but they all left very visible monuments behind.

If you were to die tomorrow, what monuments will you leave behind?

Not trying to be morbid, but wondering if you've ever contemplated whether or not you've made the world better.
